Simon Rogan, the Michelin starred chef who last year won the Good Food Guide Editor’s Choice 'Best Chef in the UK' and the London Restaurant Awards 'Best Restaurant outside London’ is now buying his cheese from us! Hip, hip and, furthermore, hip, hooray!
Having eaten at Simon's stellar Cartmel eatery, L'Enclume, and sampling some of the gorgeous French cheeses on offer, I know what a high standard he aspires to.
And now, following his championing of locally sourced ingredients right across the menu, his cheese board is to follow suit. To this end, we have been asked to supply British artisan cheeses such as Lord of the Hundreds, Berkswell, Wigmore, Montgomery Cheddar, Golden Cross, Tovey, Croglin and Stichelton - a great testament to the many, many cheese makers in Britain today doing an astounding job of making great British cheese! (and quite nice for us too, knowing Simon trusts our skill as a quality cheese monger)
